Robert Mugabe comments about the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage across the US.

Following the Supreme Court's decision to legalise gay marriage across America last week, Newsweek reported that Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe sarcastically promised to travel to Washington and ask for Barack Obama's hand in marriage.

"I've just concluded since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington DC, get down on my knee, and ask his hand," he said.

The 91-year-old Mugabe, known for his fiercely anti-homosexuality stance, is reported as saying he would get down on his knee and ask for Obama's hand.

He went on to condemn marriage equality. "I can't understand how this people dare to defy Christ's explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy," Mugabe said.
