While Generations is losing its talent, with Nambitha Mpumlwana, who plays Mawande Memela, being the latest to go, Muvhango is beefing up its star quota. In January Muvhango brought back Rapulana Seiphemo, who is now joined by former Generations’ star Siyabonga Twala and Zikhona Sodlaka. Siyabonga and Zikhona join Muvhango’s 14th season as husband and wife Busani and Joyce Mojalefa. Siyabonga has starred in Scandal!, Generations and Isibaya among other shows, and Zikhona has featured in Soul City, A Place Called Home, Tsha Tsha and Rhythm City among others.

“These multi-talented actors bring a wealth of experience and chemistry to the ensemble cast,” Muvhango publicist Eugene Mametse says. The pair will debut in June.

News of Nambitha’s exit from Generations shocked fans.

Mfundi Vundla, Generations’ executive producer says, “Nambitha will always be remembered as one of those actors who injected acting of stellar quality in Generations.”
