One of South Africa’s most distinguished literary personalities, Nobel literature laureate Nadine Gordimer, has passed away.

One of South Africa’s most distinguished literary personalities, Nobel literature laureate Nadine Gordimer, has passed away at her home in Johannesburg, aged 90, reports bookslive.co.za. Among her many literary achievements number the 1974 Booker Prize, the 2002 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1991, reports the site. South Africans and authors alike took to twitter to relay their condolences.
