Nathi Mankayi and the self-proclaimed king of Kwaito Arthur Mafokate have had a tiff over using names as promotion for events.

Move over AKA and Cassper, it seems that there are new contenders in the beef ring.

Sunday World reports that new kid on the block Nathi Mankayi and the self-proclaimed king of Kwaito Arthur Mafokate have had a tiff over using names as promotion for events.

Platinum-selling artist Nathi, who is now looking to go triple platinum, has accused Arthur of falsely using his name on his lineup for his Mzansi Arts and Heritage Festival.

"I was not happy to see my name on posters of an event that I was not booked to perform at," Nathi told the publication.

"When I don't pitch at events, the fans will not blame the promoter but me," he allegedly told the reporter.

Nathi also said that he wished people would confirm performances with his management before they advertise his attendance.

But Arthur on the hand, claims that Nathi was not due to perform because of the hike in the performance fee.

"I'm sorry to say this but his management is using him as a puppet," Arthur said as quoted by the site.

"When my booking team secured a booking with him they agreed on R25 000 and they later changed to R100 000 after he sold platinum."

But Nathi's management has gone on to say that Arthur's company has apologised.
