Veteran Moroka Swallows striker, Siyabonga Nomvethe, is unsure of his future after the relegation of the Dube Birds but he insists that he will not hang up his boots.

The 37-year-old forward never seems to tire and just when one might have thought that his time was up he has remained defiant in the face of his doubters.

According to the official PSL website, ‘Bhele’ has said that he is not sure if he will still be at Swallows next season but not because he has anything against playing in the NFD.

“I haven't decided on anything but I'm meeting my manager to discuss the way forward and the decision we will take,” said Nomvethe.

“I don't have a problem going down as long as I'm playing football, that's what I love.”

The Birds dropped out of the PSL for the first time in their history, with many pundits claiming that their inability to compete was down to the tired legs in their ageing squad.

Whether or not this was the reason, the club will have to undergo a restructuring of their personnel due to the age requirements in the NFD and Nomvethe is unsure what this will mean for him.

"But the management and the chairman will decide on what will be happening with the future of the veteran players.

“We don't know what will happen with us now with the Under-23 rule at the NFD.”
