Official funerals for Meyiwa and Mulaudzi

President Jacob Zuma has declared Provincial Official Funerals for the late exceptional Bafana Bafana Captain Senzo Meyiwa and the Olympic medalist Mbulaeni Mulaudzi.

President Jacob Zuma has declared Provincial Official Funerals for the late exceptional Bafana Bafana Captain Senzo Meyiwa and the Olympic medalist Mbulaheni Mulaudzi, according to a statement released on Friday.

The President has ordered that the National Flag be flown at half-mast in KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo Provinces tomorrow, Saturday 1 November 2014, the day of the two funerals.

"The two sports stars have represented the nation exceptionally well in national and international sporting engagements, generating immense national pride and unity", said Mac Maharaj in the statement.

Jeff Radebe to deliver the eulogy at the funeral of Meyiwa while the Minister of Public Service and Administration, Mr Collins Chabane, will deliver the eulogy at the funeral Mulaudzi.

The Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa) said on Thursday it would provide free transport to those attending the funerals and burials of three sports stars who died recently.
