Generations: The Legacy will continue to be aired as the older version's Generations actors could not successfully file an interdict to take it off air.

The axed stars' lawyer, Bulelani Mzamo says his clients could not all sign the necessary documentation as they were "tied up in different commitments", Sowetan reports.

Mzamo goes on to say that the matter will be taken to the South Gauteng High Court.

"They know very well that the 16 actors are seeking reinstatement and they also know that commissioners are not capable of of dealing with legal matters. We are now taking the matter from the CCMA to the High Court," says Mzamo to the paper.

Meanwhile, SABC Spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says this is news to him.

"Even if it is an application, there should be a sitting where all parties are present to argue on the urgency. As far as I know, we did not not receive anything," says Kganyago.

It remains to be seen if the actors will continue in their plight to take the new Generations off air.
