It looks like this season of Mzansi Magic hit show, Our Perfect Wedding, will be the last we see with musician and model Phumeza Mdabe as presenter.

It looks like this season of Mzansi Magic hit show, Our Perfect Wedding, will be the last we see with musician and model Phumeza Mdabe as presenter.

The newlywed and mother of four is taking time out from the show to focus on her family.

Speaking to the Sowetan, Phumeza said she needed to be at home more:  "I do not think that the next season I am going to be on. I am grateful for the experience and I loved doing it. "But I miss my family so much; I hardly get to see the kids and the husband. it is a huge sacrifice.”

The presenter has only two days a week to spend with her family at home.

Production of the show runs from Wednesday to Sunday, which includes shooting, researching and recording voice-overs.

After six months of working shifts that at times stretch to 18 hours, the mom and wife needs to go home and focus on quality time with her family.

Phumeza is married to Shana’s Shota and the two were traditionally married in January this year. Their youngest child was born in August last year. While we understand the reasons behind her likely exit, we will be sad to lose the presenter's personality. She's been known to be opinionated, often subtly making points on the show that send ripples through social media. Like former teen magazine editor Janine Jellars and presenter Dineo Moeketsi, we will miss Phumeza and her "shade".
