Here are some tips to help keep teeth healthy and prevent gum disease.

Good oral health care is important as it has been linked to a healthy heart.

It is important to pay attention to any changes in teeth and gums.

Gum disease is a silent, painless bacterial infection that is often undetected or ignored until severe gum and bone destruction takes over.

It has been linked to a number of serious health conditions including heart disease, stroke, and even certain cancers.

Here are some tips to help keep teeth healthy and prevent gum disease:

1. Brush your teeth twice a day.  Remember to brush your tongue as it can hold bacteria as well.

2. Floss, as this can get in those tight spaces that your toothbrush can’t.

3.  Mouthwashis another defense to reduce plaque and wash away any food that is still in the mouth.

4. Stop Smoking as it increases your risk for developing gum disease and can decrease chances if effective treatment.

5. See your dentist regularly. The tools they use get rid of tartar that is impossible to remove with at home care.
