Hundreds of Limpopo music lovers attended the 4th annual Limpopo music festival which was hosted by the hottest frequency Capricorn FM in Polokwane at the Cricket Club on Saturday where some of the country’s most celebrated artists performed.

The highlight of the evening was spectacular Caiphus Semenya who got every music lover getting down. He performed his much loved hits including Angelina and Nomalanga. “It’s a young audience out there and it’s gratifying to see young people singing along to my songs. Right now I’m working with Letta on her new CD,” said the veteran who’s been singing since he was 15-years-old.

Kabelo Mabalane seems to be everywhere these days. He performed some songs from the TKZee days and of course his new come-back album, “It’s important to be everywhere to service all my fans. This festive season I will be travelling all over the country,” Bouga Luv said.

Thandiswa Mazwai who had landed that morning from London after spending close to a year abroad said she loves the festival and she is working on releasing a number of albums for next year, “I have many ideas for the next couple of albums which I will begin releasing next year. Top of the list though is an album where I will be celebrating the best of South African music,”

One of the most colourful and energetic performances was from singer Candy M who had the most enthusiastic dancers that day. Siphokazi had a lack luster stage presence but to this day there is no doubt that she has the best voice in the industry. Jaziel Brothers, Teargas and many more kept the crowds dancing and singing a long until the early hours of the morning. What a night in the warm, beautiful and energetic city of Limpopo.
