”I came home for a short visit because I missed the kid, my partner and all my other loved ones immensely"

After her recent move to New York to pursue her international acting career, KwaZulu Natal actress and TV presenter Pearl Thusi has been feeling a little home sick.

The star of US dram series Quantico is missing her daughter as well as her supposed fiancé, Robert Marawa.

"I came home for a short visit because I missed the kid, my partner and all my other loved ones immensely. I didn't get to see a lot of people but I did manage to get a lot done,” said Thusi.

The former Metro FM DJ recently visited South Africa and popped in to see some of the students at her former primary school.

"I went to Mariannhill Primary School and was embraced with so much love by my former teachers and the learners there right now. It was incredible to know how much they still love and support me. It's really rejuvenated and encouraged me to work harder and be stronger,” she said.

New York city is known for swallowing people and Pearl said one of the things she needed to do was get in touch with her humble beginnings, to show them love and gratitude to how they have contributed to where she is today.
