A huge marquee at the former Nelson Mandela’s home in Qunu, Eastern Cape is taking shape amid bad weather.

Workers are busily constructing a dome like structure that will house some of the tens thousands of South Africans, head of state, prime ministers and celebrities expected to attend the state funeral on Sunday.

Only 5000 people will be allowed to the venue.

More than 90 heads of state attended the official memorial service at the FNB stadium yesterday amid tight security.
