R500 000 reward offered for Cape Town cash-in-transit robbers

Cash-in-transit service SBV has offered a R500 000 reward for information following an armed robbery in Mitchells Plain on Monday.

An SBV team was accosted while servicing an ATM at the BP Promenade, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

In a press statement, SBV Services CEO Grant Dunnington warned of dire consequences for those responsible.

"We are warning perpetrators that we have a zero tolerance for criminal activities and that there will be dire consequences for individuals intending to execute any criminal activity that would place our employees, as well as the public, at risk," he said.

SBV Services was offering a R500 000 reward for information that led to the successful arrests and conviction of the perpetrators.
