Charmayne Maxwell, the founding member of the ’90s R&B group Brownstone, was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Saturday.

Her death has been described as an “accident” by Danish media house Her & Nu, which broke the news.

According to police reports, the “If You Love Me ” singer returned home after her son’s soccer game, but around 9 pm upon arriving home her husband found her unconscious with a wound to her neck.

Authorities said the cause for the fatal gash stemmed from her fall on a broken wine glass, but no confirmation of foul play has been made.

The 46-year-old vocalist, affectionately known as Maxee, died on her way to hospital due to a dire amount of blood loss.
