THE REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST FOR FRIDAY: 2013-10-04.

Issued at 15:30 SAST by the South African Weather Service.

Gauteng:

Fine and warm but hot in the north. The expected UVB Index: Moderate. Mpumalanga: Partly cloudy in the lowveld, otherwise fine and warm. Limpopo: Partly cloudy in the lowveld, otherwise fine and warm.

Northwest Province:

Fine and warm to hot.

Free State:

Fine and warm.

Northern Cape:

Warm in the far south, otherwise fine and hot but cool along the coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong at times in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Cloudy along the south coast with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but fine in the north. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly but strong at times.

Expected UVB Index: High.

Western Half of the Eastern Cape:

Cool along the coast where it will be cloudy with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly.

Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape:

Cool along the coast and adjacent interior where it will be cloudy with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but fine in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, becoming south-easterly from the south.

KwaZulu-Natal:

Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly at first, becoming moderate south-westerly from the south.

Expected UVB index: Moderate.
