Church conflict

Anonymous asks:

I’m married and my husband has decided to distance himself from our religion because he no longer likes our church. I am happy in our church community so I find his behaviour confusing. What should I do?  - Anonymous via SMS

Sis Dolly answers:

You and your husband need to talk this through. It’s not clear to me whether your husband is abandoning his religion or merely fed

up with what’s going on at your church. If he wants to join another denomination, it may be difficult for you, especially if he expects you

to follow. If he’s happy to go off on his own, it’s not the end of the world.

Many couples go to different churches and you may even enjoy a change occasionally when you go with him to his new church. Just keep talking so that it doesn’t turn into a conflict that could ruin your relationship and affect your ability to enjoy worshipping God.
