“When I started out in the competition, my objective was to win, but it was a great experience for me and I’ve learned a lot about myself during my time on Idols - I also learned how to work hard," he tells us .

Rhema says that after seeing what music is like, he’s definitely pursuing a career in it. “I already have a single out. Hold Me Up, which is available on iTunes, " he beams.

The eldest of four siblings, Rhema tells us that he is the sole bread winner at home. He lives in Eden Park, Johannesburg and currently works as a financial adviser. He intends to work even harder so that he can continue supporting his family.

"My father instilled great principals in me, which is why for me it's not a burden to look after my family," says Rhema.
