Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu’s extraordinary skill on the field has grabbed the attention of many local and international clubs. Are we looking at SA’s next soccer legend?

He was destined to scale the heights of football greatness from the minute he entered thebeautiful game.

Some players are born great, while others are made to look good by their teammates. Bongani Zungu falls into the former category. His exceptional passing skills and natural talent were obvious even as a raw and lanky 18-year-old hopeful playing in the National First Division (NFD).

Not surprisingly, the 23-year-old is now in demand. News is filtering through that a number of clubs are chasing his signature, including Kaizer Chiefs locally, and international clubs from Portugal, Britain, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Denmark. The man who gave him his professional début reveals he is not the least bit surprised by the need for his services.
