Hard on the heels of Peace and Unity concert, Sipho Makhabane alias Big Fish shot the works on another Gospel concert.

Taking place this weekend (07 November 2015), Peace & Safety Music concert is chockfull with crowd pleasers of the moment including Winnie Mashaba, enfant terrible of worship music Sechaba Pali, and the esteemed MTN Joyous Celebration.

Taking place at the Mmabatho Convention Centre in Mahikeng, the event will call attention to road safety and xenophobia.

“As well as the main business of the day, which is the Gospel, the event will zero in on road safety. We will conscientise people on road safety. So it’s not just about worship…” said Sipho who is the organizer of the concert.

Partnering with Sipho on the initiative is RTMC (Road Traffic Management Corporation) whose mission is to ensure safe, secure and responsible use of roads in South Africa.

“Our responsibility as RTMC is to ensure that there’s a reduction in the number of crashes that result in injuries and fatalities,” Said Mpho Mokhantso who is the divisional head for safety at RTMC. “We do that through education and use different mediums to reach out to the road-using public.

“One of the means at our disposal… is partnering with people like Sipho. Apart from Sipho we have a number of ambassadors- people who already have a following in society. We partner with such people so we can access their captive audience and convey the message of road safety.

“Gospel music in South Africa is amongst the best selling genres of music and gigs such as Peace & Safety concert allow us immense audience on the eve of festive season.

The Peace and Safety Concert takes place at Mmabatho Convention Centre on 07 November
