Over 20 000 hip hop fans filled up the Ticket Pro Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg for one of the highly anticipated events of the year.

Indeed J Cole wowed thousands of concert goers. However, our very own SA hip hop talent held their own and gave the self-acclaimed king of modern hip-hop a run for his money.

“This concert, in collaboration with J Cole, was certainly the place to be! The fans’ excitement was palpable and the vibe was electric as they waited in anticipation for J Cole to come onto the stage,” says Marketing Manager for Castle Lite, Vaughan Croeser.

“It was also amazing to hear the crowd’s roar as some of South Africa’s favourite artists made their way onto the stage – all in all a great success,” he adds.

Top acts such as Kwesta, HHP, Khuli Chana, EMTEE, Reason, Proverb, Fifi Cooper, Nasty C, KO and DJ Vigilante were some of the cool cats who flew the SA flag high. And the crowd was undeniably impressed.

Our hip hop artists showed why hip hop is a force to be reckoned with.
