SA rappers opening for Kendrick Lamar

Rappers Reason and Khuli Chana are the opening acts for rapper Kendrick Lamar’s up-and-coming South African tour.

Sharing a stage with an international act is always a great honour. For rappers Khuli Chana and Reason, being the opening act for Kendrick Lamar is a great opportunity to shine.

“Sharing a stage with an international act has its benefits,” says rapper Reason. “The standard of the event is what appeals to me the most.  It’s a sign, which shows we have reached ‘international standards’.”

Reason and Khuli Chana are the opening acts for rapper Kendrick Lamar’s up-and-coming South African tour.

The rappers promise to bring showing-stopping performances and belt out some of their already popular tunes.

“I’ve got a great performance set lined up,” said Khuli who was recently nominated for a Best International Act nomination with the Black Canadian Awards taking place in March in Toronto.

“I’m really looking forward to opening up for Kendrick Lamar,” he said. ‘He’s one of my favourite artists.”

The Grammy nominated rapper’s three-concert foray on Mzansi soil includes stops on:

  • 7th February at the Wave House, Gateway, Durban
  • 8th February in Johannesburg at Gold Reef City
  • 9th February in Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town
