DiscoDance, Hip Hop and Electric Boogie championships and thus the world has once again gathered in the country.

This prestigious event which started on March 21 and ends March 25, 2012 is taking place at Sun City Resort and tonight is the Grand Finals at 19h00 in the Superbowl.

SA representatives in the competition seem to have a good track record at winning such competitions as many of its dancers have walked away with world titles. Dancers from Eunice Marais School of Dance won 11 trophies and 33 medals in 2011, with the rest of the SA team winning another 5 trophies and 12 medals.

The likes of Cape Town Hip Hop and Electric Boogie dancer, Blake Williams who was awarded the World Champion Title and also runner up title in the Solo Hip Hop category in Austria last year and he was also South African Champion in 2010, will be defending his world title.

Another world champion is Hloni Santawane who came first in his solo section at the World Hip Hop Championships in 2010 and 2011. This year he enters the Adult section for the first time, and Sun City fans will be able to see him in action.

These are just some of the guys we’ll be watching break a leg as they come face-to-face with their opponents.

Team South African is definitely flying its flag high and we hope to see more of them take the titles home.
