Who doesn’t love melt-in-your-mouth fudge? You’ll have to fight your kids for a taste of this yummy treat.

(Makes 1 tray)

You'll need:

400 g condensed milk

150 ml full cream milk

500 g demerara sugar

120 g butter

1½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla pod extract

Heat up a heavy-based pan and add the condensed milk, full cream milk, demerara sugar and butter into it. Bring it to the boil while mixing and let simmer for 15 min., stirring all the time. Add in 1 tsp. of salt and vanilla pod extract, and keep stirring. Remove the pan from the heat for about 5 min. Now mix quick until it becomes thick and grainy. Grease a baking tin with butter and add the mixture into the baking tin. Let it cool down. Sprinkle ½ tsp. salt over the mixture.

Serving suggestion:

Cut into pieces and serve in baking paper. It will also make a pretty gift!
