The money will go to the mothers of Senzo's children if he never had a will.

In a report by the Daily Sun on Wednesday, Sifiso Sithole, whose firm handles deceased estates, said that Sam Meyiwa might not get anything from the R5 million life insurance pay-out money said to be contained in a PSL account if Senzo never had a will.

In terms of the Estates Act, the money will go to the mothers of his children and not to Sam Meyiwa, Sithole said.

“The parents of the deceased do not qualify for any payout unless it is specified in a will”

Sithole is further reported having had said that Kelly Khumalo and Mandisa Mkhize, the mothers of Senzo’s two children, will be made the legal guardians of their kids and will get a monthly grant to buy food and will have to submit invoices for school fees, uniforms, transport and other costs.

“The kids will get the balance of the money when they turn 21,” Sithole said.

Jabu Buthelezi, Meyiwa’s family spokeswoman, refused to say whether Senzo left a will or not.
