Ssacoc has lodged a R21.1 million defamation claim against Media24 sports journalist Graeme Joffe in the High Court in Johannesburg, Beeld reported. In the court documents filed by Sascoc it argued that 23 of Joffe's sports columns were defamatory. Within the sport column Joffe had accused the organisation of unethical and illegal conduct. In one of his sports column Joffe claimed that Sascoc behaved in a manner which was "contrary to the interest of South Africa, engaged in corrupt activities, and wasted money". Sascoc CEO Tubby Reddy including the eight board members and Sascoc president Gideon Sam lodged the claim against the journalist.

As part of the suit, the eight have also demanded that Joffe withdraw his statements and apologise.
