Scientists say curvy women produce more intelligent children

Women with larger curvy thighs, hips and buttocks to make their babies intelligent, a study claims.

Good news for all curvy women!

These ‘fat banks’ play a vital role in fuelling the development of newborns’ brains via breast-feeding, say the academics.

Professor Will Lassek, a public-health epidemiologist at Pittsburgh University, Pennsylvania, who led the research, explained: ‘The fat in these areas is a depot for building a baby’s brain.

Researchers think the fat around women’s bums and thighs contains cells that, when transferred to the baby through breastfeeding, could help increase the child’s intelligence.

The study suggested that this may be the reason why women often find it hard to shift extra fat from these areas after giving birth – as the nutrients the baby needs may be stored there.
