Actor Senzo Radebe taps into his real-life taxi accident for his part in a new drama series.

Muvhango actor Senzo Radebe says that the 2016 taxi accident that landed him in hospital where he underwent four operations on his arm was a life lesson.

“I feel I got a second chance at life. I appreciate the little things,” he says.

He’s now back on his feet, more confident than ever and geared up to play the role of spoilt Dali Ndamase on SABC1 drama series Ingozi.

Like Senzo, Dali is involved in an accident, except his character ends up killing innocent people.

Senzo says he had to relive the day of the accident to try to identify with some of the scenes. “In Ingozi I play the perpetrator instead of the victim that I was in real life. I had to tap into the time I spent in hospital to be able to relate to the victims.”

Ingozi airs on SABC1 on Sunday, 12 February at 7:30 pm.
