The Meyiwa family has collected murdered Senzo Meyiwa’s spirit in a short yet somber ceremony at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Spruitview, Ekurhuleni east of Johannesburg.

Senzo Meyiwa’s father, Samuel Meyiwa and other family members of the murdered Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain were seen outside Kelly's house this morning.

Flanked by five police cars, Senzo's father Samuel and the family members took the coffin through the house where Senzo was shot.

"The coffin was covered with a white cloth with red flowers," says a neighbour who was there this morning.

"The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes before everyone left," she added.

Kelly has kept a low profile since the shooting, choosing to stay indoors and only accepting visitors at her complex in Mulburton.

DRUM understands that Samuel,  identified Senzo's body on Thursday.

He will be buried at his home town in Durban on Saturday morning. The funeral service will be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, and will be buried at Heroes Acre at the Chesterville cemetery in Durban.
