Gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane recently made national headlines when he bought his pastor a very expensive gift.

Ncwane surpised his 'spritual father' with a Mercedes Benz GL 63 AMG which set him back an apparent R1,9 million.

And now his mother has come out to say that she is living like a pauper while Ncwane balls out.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Fikile Ncwane claimed that she had no food in her fridge.

"You can visit my house and see for yourself that there is no food. My fridge is empty," she told the People's Paper.

"I have been starving. Sometimes I go to sleep without any food," she reportedly said.

Sfiso's mom was very sad about what she had seen in the media about the extravagent gift.

"This is my son, whom I carried for nine months. The son I raised without support from his dad that was giving another man a car."

But when approached for comment, The Ncwanes did not want to say anything.

Sfiso's wife, Ayanda said that they had made the decision to not speak to the media because it has "affected her family very badly".

Sfiso then went on Radio Station, Vuma FM to state that he has been taking of her mother.

The singer said he built her a house, furnished it and has been taking care of her and claims that the media twisted the story to their own satisfaction.

"Even when the truth comes out, the papers will it in fine print or not print it at all," he said

He also apologised about the gift offending people but remained unapologetic about giving the gift to his pastor.

"I apologise, but it was a promise I had made to God."
