Last week Sheryl, the wife of state security minister Siyabonga Cwele, and her Nigerian national co-accused, Frank Nabolisa, were found guilty of trafficking cocaine and sentenced to 12 years in prison.  Many condemning pieces of evidence stood between Sheryl and her freedom, and evidence from the drug mules helped seal the coffin. One of these Mules, a Margate mom of two called Tessa, was Sheryl's neighbour at one point. Evidence put before the court by the prosecution included SMSes between the two (sometimes via Frank) during the time of Tessa's travels to the US, Peru and Colombia before being caught in Brazil. SMSes included suggestions on what to wear at the airport, instructions to not pick up her luggage and religious messages. Both Sheryl and Tessa appeared to have placed their trust in God.
