Sibahle mourns granny's death

Sibahle Tshibika, winner of So You Think You Can Dance is currently mourning the passing of her grandma immediately after her victory as SA's favourite dancer.

Sibahle Tshibika, winner of So You Think You Can Dance’s victory quickly turned into mourning after her grandma collapsed and died when she was pronounced SA’s favourite dancer. The Daily Sun reports that the 23-year-old from Khayelitsha in Cape Town collapsed as well at hearing the sad news of granny’s passing. “It would have been nice to celebrate with her, but God had a different plan. My gogo supported meand she was the reason I got so far,” she told Daily Sun. The family is said to be preparing for the funeralbut that will not overshadow the well-earned celebrations SA’s favourite dancer deserves.

Sibahle received the most votes and danced off with the cash prize of R250 000.

Fellow finalists Charlie van Rooyen from Ormonde, Robyn Brophy from Roodepoort and Chris Van Staden from Germiston were eliminated as the host Sinazo Yolwa revealed the voting results.

“Winning the show is a dream come true and one of the best things that has ever happened to me,” said a very emotional Sibahle.
