Different media reports have revealed that the Mhere family have not been updated on the progress of the investigation pertaining to the accident that took place on January 31.

It has been almost four months since the sad and untimely passing of Top Billing presenter, Simba Mhere and his family is still looking for answers as to what happened on the fateful day.

Different media reports have revealed that the Mhere family have not been updated on the progress of the investigation pertaining to the accident that took place on January 31. Officials who are supposedly investigating the matter have been reportedly silent on the matter. Simba's sister, Valerie, recently spoke out in an interview with Radio 702 about the difficulty the family is experiencing with gaining information and the shock that the driver had still not been charged. "As a family we have received little to no information as to the progress of the case, and the little information we have received has come from the media. The last bit of information we received last month was that the docket had been completed. But as we have read in the media as of Wednesday, there have been no charges pressed against the driver," Valerie revealed "We don't have a clue as to how these things go, but it has taken a while, apparently they don't have any witness statements or haven't received enough, one of the two, but to my understanding of the statements of the victims in the other vehicle have been taken and so has my father's, and I believe the statement of the driver who caused the accident has also given a statement. I think more than anything we just feel left out the loop as to what's going on," she said in the interview. Mhere and his best friend Kady-Shay O'Bryan died instantly when a driver of VW Polo crashed into them on their way to the airport.

The car they were in rolled three times before stopping and Mhere's father who was sitting in the passenger seat survived the accident.
