South Africa's Prince of Pantsula dies

Rest in peace Pantsula Prince.

South Africa's Prince of Pantsula dancer and poet Prince Mofokeng who died earlier last week was laid to rest yesterday.

The talented entertainer was diagnosed with blood cancer early 2014 succumed to the illness.

His funeral was attended by his friends and family who all attested to Prince's passion and drive for life.

Prince who was once a gangster had turned his life around through dance during his last couple of years.

Prince was a popular pantsula dancer from Soweto. Prince made his name as the star of Bryan Little’s multi-award-winning documentary The African Cypher.

The documentary showed the dance cultures that were created and bred in the streets of South Africa.
