I had vaginal warts after giving birth, but didn’t have them removed. Now I have a new boyfriend who’s willing to take our relationship to the next level.

Can I still have them removed even though it’s been a while?

Dr.Nomteto answers

Absolutely. There are multiple treatments available, but be warned, no treatment is completely satisfactory; relapse is frequent and requires retreatment.

In the immuno-competent (people with a healthy immune system) these warts resolve without treatment, but in the immune-compromised, they persist and spread.

Circumcision might prevent recurrences in men, so it’s advisable for your partner to be circumcised, if he’s not already.
