Stars unite to show love for SA on Valentine's Day

South African personalities and celebrities will unite "in love" for South Africa this Valentine's Day, 14 February 2012, as they take to one of the country's busiest intersections.

The stars will be teaming up with Proudly South African, to distribute thousands of roses and chocolates to motorists. This, to create awareness around supporting local goods, products and services to help create jobs.

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Thandi Vivian Tobias-Pokolo, will join the celebrities and the Proudly SA team on Tuesday morning, on the corners of William Nicol and Sandton Drives between 07h00 and 09h00am.

The event is titled: "Show your love for South Africa - support local to help create jobs".

The new Miss South Africa, Melinda Bam, will also take part in the Proudly South African campaign. Various local actors and musicians have also committed to attending the event. These include DJ Sbu, Penny Lebyane, Kabelo Mabalane, Danny K, Sinazo Yolwa, Mmarona Motshegoa, Ntabiseng Mphalele, Samu Ndlovu and Max Mmeti.

The JMPD and ER24 will also be lending a hand to spread the love on Valentine's Day.
