Veteran actor Steven Seagal would consider running for Governor of Arizona.

Veteran actor Steven Seagal would consider running for Governor of Arizona.

The 'Marked or Death' action movie star may follow in the footsteps of 'Terminator' actor Arnold Schwarzenegger - who held office as the Governor of California from 2003 until 2011 - by running for the highest elected office in the state.

The idea comes after Steven filmed his new reality show 'Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County', in Arizona with self-styled 'Toughest Sheriff in America', Joe Arpaio.

Steven told KNXV-TV: ''Joe Arpaio and I were talking about me running for governor in Arizona, which was kind of a joke, but I suppose I would remotely consider it, but probably I would have a lot more other responsibilities which may be more important.''
