Get ready, SuperMoms! Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) will be returning to screens for the first time in more than 25 years!

The British novelist’s book is going to be Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s latest directorial project. Filming is due to start next year and the movie will hit the big screen in 2016.

The celebrated book, which was first published in 1982, tells the story of a big, friendly giant who befriends a young orphan girl.

According to The Hollywood Reporter it was previously adapted as an animated film for British TV in 1989, but Spielberg is sure to take the movie to another level.

The new adaptation will also reunite Spielberg with ET screenwriter Melissa Mathison. We can’t wait!
