Teenager stabs peers

A 17-year-old pupil from Nondinisa High School in Nsuze, Kwa Zulu Natal, will appear in the Nsuze Periodical Court on Thursday facing charges for murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

A 17-year-old pupil from Nondinisa High School in Nsuze, Kwa Zulu Natal, appeared in the Nsuze Periodical Court on Thursday facing charges for murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said the teenager was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly stabbed two fellow pupils.

It is reported that the group of boys had a fight at the school when the suspect outside the school when the suspect stabbed two learners.

Police managed to recover a knife that was used during the incident after the teenager had fled the scene.

The teenager was found and arrested on the same day.

The SAPS says stricter measures need to be taken to ensure that learners do not bring dangerous weapons to school as it puts children in a vulnerable position where they can commit a crime.
