The best of Mzansi film showcased at Macufe

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is taking the best of South African film and talent to Macufe.

This week, NuMetro began screening films at Mangaung’s Waterfall Mall.

This will be the fourth year the NFVF participates at the festival, hosting film workshops and screening local films for free.

This year the NFVF aims to inspire more youth to tell their own stories the best way they can.

The 2014 trainers and talent include Kenneth Nkosi (White Wedding, How to Steal 2 Million), Israel Makoe (iNumber Number, Hard to Get), Mamello Lebona and Simon Makwela, who will also provide workshops on How To Enter the Film Industry, Pitching, Performance as well as Script Writing.

Films on offer this week included the critically acclaimed iNumber Number, Hard to Get, Four Corners and Pad na Jou Hart with this evening’s film being action-packed Hard to Get at 5pm.

Apart from the much-anticipated Macufe Cup, music lovers can also look forward to world-class performances from the likes of Chrisette Michele, Chantay Savage, Presss, Zahara, Oliver Mtukudzi, Ringo Madlingozi, Jonas Gwangwa and Jimmy Dludlu.
