He's  hitting the gym hard to tone up for his appearance on reality show Tropika Island of Treasure. And the results are really beginning to show – spectacularly.

“I’ve been working out for up to three hours a day – just look at my guns,” Phila Mazibuko says, proudly offering us a peak at his bulging biceps as he cracks a mischievous grin. “I have to be in great shape for the cameras.”

He feels so confident about his chances on the show that he even fancies a shot at the title.

“I’m just worried about Joelle Kayembe,” he says referring to a fellow contestant, the model who shot to fame in a beverage ad where she joins her boyfriend in his car dressed in nothing but her undies.

“That girl is just so hot; she might turn on her charm and distract me.”

Phila will soon jet off to Mexico where the show is being filmed, but as it turns out the 23-year-old Muvhango star, Mzansi Insider presenter and recording artist never does anything without telling the two most important women in his life, his mom, Busi Mazibuko (50) and his grandmother Mazane Mazibuko (86).
