Simushi had no way to prove his innocence.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. Are you denying you framed me?”

Ntate Ikosa laughed loudly and said, “Of course, I’m not going to deny it. I’m the one who framed you – because you wouldn’t stay away from my daughter! “I slaughtered those cattle and made it look as if you had done it. No one crosses Ikosa and gets away with it! My daughter is preparing for her wedding, and we don’t need distractions. If you leave now, I’ll forget I saw you and won’t call the police.”

Simushi said, “I’m going, but one day you’ll pay for your sins.”

When Simushi left, Ntate Ikosa felt relieved. But on the day of Sindi and Mwilima’s lavish wedding, Simushi arrived with the police. They played the recording of Ntate Ikosa’s confession and he was Mwilima fled, because a man in his position couldn’t afford to have a stock thief as a father-in-law.

But the big village wedding day went ahead anyway, because Sindi married the love of her life, her Simushi.

The end.
