The transport department would study Thursday's e-tolling judgment before saying more on the matter, said director general George Mahlalala.

Asked when the public could be expected be tolled on Gauteng's roads, he said: "We will come back to them."

The Constitutional Court ruled on Thursday that the High Court in Pretoria did not consider the separation of powers between courts and the executive when it granted an interim interdict to review the e-tolling project, putting it on hold.
