Trevor Noah scoops two NAACP awards for his book Born A Crime

South African comedian and TV host Trevor Noah is flying the flag high for South Africa. Trevor Noah was one of the top winners last week at the 48th annual NAACP Image Awards; the star received two awards for his book Born A Crime.

Trevor won in the Literary Work category – Debut Author and Outstanding Literary Work – Biography/ Autobiography at the awards. The star was overjoyed as he took to social media to share his joy; “Such an honour to receive two NAACP Image Awards for my book “Born A Crime”. Thank you to every single person who has shared in my story.”

Trevor was among the top winners with his two awards at the event where singer Beyoncé won three awards in the music category for Best Female Artist, Best Music Video and Best Album.

Trevor is the host of the Daily Show on Comedy Central.
