Ultimate Braai Master is back!

Move over Master Chef, the Ultimate Braai Master is here.

The show dubbed the most successful television format in Mzansi has moved to e.tv from SABC 3.

As from 11 September the show which is a 13-part series will feature Mzansi’s top 15 braai teams - consisting of a Braai Master and a Braai Buddy respectively. This happens in a variety of challenging and innovative outdoor cooking challenge.

The channel’s managing director, Monde Twala said the show promotes diversity and achieves international appeal.

"So move over master chef, the new season of The Ultimate Braai Master is going to be bold and big, local style,” he says.

He says the format of the show has had great international success and they are proud that the show is home grown.

“Local content is our main priority; viewers must look out for more entertaining television in coming months," says Monde.

"This season is bound to continue to enthral audiences from all walks of life not only here in South Africa but from all around the world as this is much more than a cooking show; it’s a show that showcases what South Africans love to do.”

The show will be hosted by Justin Bonello- the producer and founder of Cooked in Africa Films.

The winners will take home the title, including prize money of R500 000 and a Renault Duster 4x4 valued at R260 000. They also receive two extra–large Big Green Eggs valued at over R30 000 together with a seven–day guided tour of Kerala in India to the value of R100 000, courtesy of Robertsons Herbs and Spices.

Viewers can also watch The Ultimate Braai Master in HD on the e.tv HD channel (channel 104) on OpenView HD at 8:30pm Thursdays.
