eNews Prime Time anchor Pat Pillai is leaving the channel as e.tv makes way for a new isiZulu TV news bulletin and moving its English news broadcast to a late night slot.

After ten years on the news network Pat says he wants to focus more on his charity work ‘Life College’. “It’s been a memorable ten-year journey that saw many news firsts, many stories that have shaped our political, economic and social landscape and many heartfelt moments of human triumph. I will miss the people I’ve worked with and the viewers who tuned in regularly. From now on, I will join as a loyal viewer,” said Pat who founded the organisation in 1997, and over the years has helped over 55 000 kids in need.

In case you missed it his final eNews bulletin on e.tv was on Thursday 26 February.

"Pat Pillai has played an enormous role at eNews over the past 10 years," says Patrick Conroy, who is now the managing director of e.sat.

From Monday 2 March the English eNews Prime Time bulletin will be aired at 20.30 pm.
