As the world becomes more and more aware of food scarcity and food waste many parents are trying to instil green principles in their children by adjusting their own behaviour. This isn’t just great for the planet but also your wallet.

But while the idea of a juicy, perfect strawberry from your garden sounds amazing you might turn up your nose at “ugly” food.

French supermarket Intermarché has decided to fight food waste by selling noncalibrated, imperfect fruits and vegetables at a discounted rate, labelled as “inglorious fruits and vegetables”. The response from consumers has been overwhelming! Watch what happened here:
