Parliament has made headlines once again and this time members of Parliament were on each others' backs for the possibility of being inebriated in the house.

Parliament has made headlines once again and this time members of Parliament were on each others' backs for the possibility of being inebriated in the house.

A video posted by SABC News begins with COPE MP, Willie Madisha taking the mickey out of  Minister of Science and Techonology, Naledi Pandor's accent during the budget votes.

Defence minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula then requested that the open bar at Parliament be closed until the afternoon because some MPs were clearly under the influence of alcohol which got in the way of their reasoning.

Opposition members then rose in anger to oppose what Mapisa-Nqakula alluded to, leaving acting Pesiding Officer Thoko Didiza to try and calm the situation.

Watch the video below to see how it all happened.
