News of a day-care centre in Texas in the USA, where children were duct-taped to their sleeping mats during nap time, made parents all over the world sit up and ask: “What happens to my children when I drop them at school?”

American news website ABC News reported earlier this week that a staff member at the school circulated photos to parents showing a little boy tucked in a blanket and duct-taped to a sleeping mat. Another three-year-old was apparently treated in the same way and his mom removed him from the school and reported the incident to police and child protective services.

Although the school maintains the children weren’t hurt, news of the incident leaves most parents fearful of what might be happening to their children while they’re at work.
