Williams stays top of women's rankings

Serena Williams of the United States continued to top the women's tennis rankings

ahead of Victoria Azarenka in the list released Monday by the WTA.

In the only change in the top 10, Germany's Angelique Kerber moved up a place to ninth while Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic dropped to 10th.

WTA top 10 as of August 26 (previous ranking in parenthesis):
