Winnie's claim is undermining Mandela's wishes.

Winnie Mandela’s bid to have the late Nelson Mandela’s Qunu home in the Eastern Cape will be opposed by the former president’s estate executors, it was revealed on Monday. Speaking to Sowetan, Deputy Chief Justice, Dikgang Moseneke, who is one of the executors, said they had on several occasions tried to “resolve the dispute amicably”. He said that Winnie’s claim sought to “undermine, or alter the last will and testament of the late Statesman”. However, in response to the news, Winnie’s lawyer, Mvuso Notyesi told the newspaper that they were “unfazed” by the decision to oppose. “We are unfazed by the decision to oppose, “Mvuso said. “We are saying the purported bequeathing of that property to trustees is wrong, because that land did not belong to former president Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela,” he added.
